New domain name brainstorming tool
MakeWords domain search website launched a new way to perform domain search – a feature created based on requests by our users at branding and advertising agencies.
Name Brainstorming can be used by individuals or teams that work with potential concepts, keywords and phrases to be used when creating a new name. Such words, or even lengthier text passages can be entered into the domain name brainstorming form. The resulting compound names are a random combination of all the words entered, plus there is an option to add additional random prefixes and suffixes to the names, if the initial results don’t meet the expectations. The set of keywords can be adjusted and searched again to tweak the results.
Another way to use the Brainstorming search is to create random permutations of the keywords entered. Mixing and changing the keyword syllables sometimes produces unique brandable names with available domains. Different permutations are created with each search request.
The Brainstorming tool will be continuously improved, feel free to subscribe to this blog to get the latest updates at MakeWords. Good luck with your quest for domain names!
Single domain lookup enhancements, updated UI
Several UI enhancements to MakeWords.com were deployed today:

For instance, if the domain “photos” is not available, then the resulting page suggests several alternative domains or ways to expand your search:

Bulk Domain Search
The newly added Bulk Domain Search feature at www.makewords.com opens up new capabilities for finding targeted keyword domains. Up to 100 names or phrases on separate lines can be checked with one query.
Bulk Search is particularily useful, when you need to check the availability of long keyword lists. Consider the following technique.
- Use the Google Keyword Suggestion tool to get keyword ideas related to your website. Lets try “web marketing” as an example. Sort the results by Global Monthly Search Volume. If there is a lot of competition with the more popular phrases, it is better to focus on the long-tail keywords which are searched more rarely but provide a suitable niche.
- Export the phrases to a txt file, select up to 100 rows and paste them to the Bulk Search Page at MakeWords. You can then run the search immediately – MakeWords will remove the spaces or replace them with hyphens, based on your search options.
- Save the available names to Favorites or register them via My Registrar links.
There are numerous alternatives for creating keyword lists, each may provide numerous unregistered domain names in valuable niches. At the time of writing this post, the following domain names were all available:
- the-marketing-web.com (search volume 18100)
- marketing-for-web.com (2900)
- web-development-marketing.com (6600)
- web-marketing-companies.com (2400)
- b2b-web-marketing.com
- marketing-on-web.com
- marketinginweb.com
